Grants for Organizations

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation provides grants to organizations that support families and teens, arts and culture events, as well as projects that connect people to Jewish life in Western Massachusetts and beyond.

These grants include support for organizations to provide:

  • Jewish events and learning opportunities for teens and families.

  • Professional development for educators.

  • The formation of havurot, peer-led groups that explore Jewish topics.

Shabbat is one of the greatest gifts Judaism offers. Connecting ourselves to the generations before us through the rituals of candle lighting, blessing children, Kiddush, challah and Havdalah is meaningful and uplifting.

Historically, there’s been a gap in terms of stimulating Jewish programming for teens. After a child’s bar or bat mitzvah, there was nothing designed to appeal to young people during these important, formative years.

Young Adult Engagement Grant

Ages 18 - 36

Category: Arts and Engagement

Young Adult Engagement Grants fund eligible Jewish organizations in implementing a program that will creatively engage young adults (ages 18-36) in the community. Programs must have a Jewish focus and a formal system of tracking program attendance.
