Each spring the Excellence in Teaching Awards program recognizes more than 100 outstanding educators throughout the Pioneer Valley at three festive banquets.
These banquets include
- Private reception for winners, their special guests, and funders
- Festive dinner
- Individual award presentations
- And inspirational speakers and/or entertainment
Gifts for winners include a cash prize along with an engraved plaque, significant course tuition incentives at eight participating colleges and universities, and memberships to local YMCAs, the Springfield Jewish Community Center, and New England Public Media.
Tickets are available free to each winner and one guest, superintendents, principals, district representatives, mayors, funding partners and funding supporters, and other dignitaries. Limited paid tickets are also available for educators and other supporters of winning teachers in every district.
