Sifriyat Pijama®

Sifriyat Pijama distributes high-quality children’s books emphasizing shared Jewish/Israeli heritage and values to classrooms in Israel.

Sifriyat Pijama ('Pajama Library' in Hebrew), launched in 2009 to create common Jewish values in Israel and to encourage literacy, is the Israel-based version of PJ Library. The program gifts Hebrew language books each month to hundreds of thousands of preschoolers, first-graders, and second-graders in Israel. The books are a gift to the family to enjoy together. Many of the recipients are part of underserved immigrant populations, including people living in the northern and southern periphery of the country.

The books are distributed in partnership with the Ministry of Education

Sifriyat Pijama for Little Kids (Sifriyat Pijama leKtantanim in Hebrew) is distributed to 2-year-old children in daycare centers throughout Israel in cooperation with women's organizations such as WIZO, Emunah, Naamat, and other organizations that operation daycare centers.

Keren Grinspoon Israel (Hebrew for Grinspoon Israel Foundation) carries out the Harold Grinspoon Foundation's mission in Israel and operates Sifriyat Pijama.
