Students read and engage with the books with their teachers in the classroom and then take them home to enjoy again and again with their families. This helps children improve literacy and language skills, develop emotional awareness, and increase their knowledge of Arab tradition and culture while also fostering a love of reading. Maktabat Al-Fanoos was started in 2015 in partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Education and other philanthropic partners.
