IT Project Manager



The Harold Grinspoon Foundation is a nonprofit organization that runs creative programs to engage the Jewish community by meeting people where they are at key life moments and by providing access to the best of Jewish culture and tradition, while using philanthropy to encourage others to invest in the Jewish community.

Programs at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation include PJ Library®, JCamp180™, Voices & Visions, Life & Legacy and Sifriyat Pijama.
 

Responsibilities

  • 4-5 years’ solid, seasoned, proven project and program management experience working within agile and waterfall frameworks / methodologies.
  • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
  • Provide a proactive interface between the project team and Program Management to ensure business requirements are completely and accurately defined.
  • Responsible for using best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/sponsor’s needs and deliver on desired outcomes.
  • Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • Strong technical/business writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ensures that project documents are current and complete, as well as appropriately managed and stored.
  • Develops and delivers performance dashboards for project progress to milestones and delivery dates, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Determines the content of status reports and frequency of delivery; analyzes results of the progress reports and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, managers, project stakeholders and vendor partners as needed. 
  • Manages day-to-day operational and tactical activities of a project.
  • Risk and issue management, communications and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in project environment with Agile and Waterfall methodology.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of required experience IT.
  • 5-7 years of required experience in Management and Program Management.
  • Preferred certification: PMP
