Evaluation Coordinator

HGF is looking to add an Evaluation Coordinator to a growing team supporting multiple foundation initiatives, including the flagship program, PJ Library®. This full-time position, based in Agawam, MA, will oversee a variety of projects that support measurement and evaluation activities and will report to the Director of Evaluation.

HGF is looking to add an Evaluation Coordinator to a growing team supporting multiple foundation initiatives, including the flagship program, PJ Library®.  This full-time position, based in Agawam, MA, will oversee a variety of projects that support measurement and evaluation activities and will report to the Director of Evaluation.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

 

Manage monthly book surveys sent to PJ Library subscriber parents.

  • Relationship management of vendor used to program, send, and set up reporting for the surveys
  • Work with internal stakeholders to incorporate custom, title-specific questions, and questions for ride-along mailings
  • Proofread and test all email invitations and survey links
  • Obtain contact lists from data team
  • Build final reports to be shared with the Book Selection Committee from the survey platform output files
  • Continue to refine and optimize the overall process, including improving survey response rate
Manage PJ Library Engagement Grant Participant Surveys (60+ grantees).
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop and finalize questions for each grant track (five in total)
  • Schedule and coordinate community question development/wording in conjunction with the PJ Library Community Engagement team
  • Relationship management of vendor used to program, send and set up reporting for the surveys
  • Proofread and test all email invitations and survey links
  • Build final reports in Word to be shared with the Community Engagement team and grantee organizations
Build the year-end grant report for PJ Library implementing partner organizations. 
  • Develop analysis plan in conjunction with the Director of Evaluation
  • Use Excel/Tableau to create the table and chart views from the report data
  • Include year-over-year comparisons
  • Draft narrative report(s) and help present to internal and external stakeholders
Own other stand-alone projects.
  • Ad-hoc surveys for one-off feedback requests (i.e. periodic PJ Our Way surveys, surveys for various Advancement, Community Engagement and Content and Family Engagement department initiatives)
Assist Director of Evaluation with the execution of other evaluation and analysis projects (i.e. 2019 PJ Library Triennial, reporting for Get Together incentives, etc.).
  • Collect and combine feedback from internal stakeholders
  • Be “second eyes” on materials and analysis
  • Help develop measurement/evaluation strategy
  • Assist with the analysis of answers to open-ended questions included in surveys, in order to identify any themes or trends

Requirements and Experience Sought

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to move forward multiple time-sensitive projects all taking place at the same time
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical experience
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years fulltime work experience; MBA preferred
  • Experience with survey research and basic statistical analysis programs and platforms, such as Survey Monkey, Survey Gizmo, SPSS and/or Tableau a plus
  • Familiarity with the global Jewish community a plus
