The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation (HGCF) works in collaboration with other funders to support education and health in Cambodia.
Supporting Education
The HGCF joined forces with the Matesabroad Foundation of Australia to provide financial support for five primary schools in Cambodia through Cambodian Volunteers for Community Development (CVCD). The goal of the project is to provide education for 525 children in grades 1-6 living in communities outside of the capital city of Phnom Penh.
Encouraging Health
The HGCF, in conjunction with other supporters, built the Sok Sabay Medical Clinic. This eight-room clinic serves women having babies and caring for children in a rural community 44 miles east of Phnom Penh. Primary care is given by three nurses, a mid-wife, a home health aid, a pharmacist, and service personnel.
Orphanage Support
In collaboration with other funders, the HGCF supports a group of 70 orphans in the small Phum Thom community, where the Sok Sabay Medical Clinic is located.
