Dolly Parton's Imagination LibraryDolly Parton's Imagination Library cultivates a love of reading among preschool children.

In 2004, the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation (HGCF) launched the Imagination Library program in Springfield, MA to provide books to kids up to age 5.

The goal and vision of the Springfield, MA Imagination Library program is for all preschoolers in Springfield to be ready for kindergarten with reading readiness skills and a love of reading. All young registrants receive their first book along with a storage box encouraging children and their families to have a special place to keep their books.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, HGCF is only accepting new subscriptions through the Early Childhood Centers of Greater Springfield (ECCGS). If your child attends ECCGS, you may obtain enrollment forms there.

CURRENT PARTNERS

Presently the Springfield, MA Imagination Library program is operated in partnership with the Springfield READ program, sponsored by the Irene E. & George A. Davis Foundation. Other partners include the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts and private funders.

My daughter loves the fact that she receives the book and it is hers. She loves reading her own books."
