B'nai Tzedek National
The B'nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy Program is opening up new possibilities for how young people can help create a more just society. As an innovative and powerful branch of Tzedakah, B'nai Tzedek is redefining what it means to be a philanthropist - that one does not have to be wealthy to have a personal and engaged relationship to life-long giving.
The Four Objectives of B'nai Tzedek
- To help every Jewish teen in your community establish an endowment fund in their name.
- To provide Jewish teens with skills and knowledge in the area of Jewish sources on giving, financial literacy and modern philanthropy.
- To help Jewish teens establish relationships with Jewish organizations in your community and abroad.
- To offer the opportunity to network with other Jewish teens locally and nationally.
The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) is pleased to announce that funding is available for communities to start a B’nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy program!
The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) is pleased to announce the availability of up to 10 grants in the amount of $30,000 over three years for communities starting a B'nai Tzedek teen philanthropy program. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The funding is designated for the salary of a half-time program director.
The B'nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy program is based on three key components: teens having their own individual endowment fund, teens participating in educational programs and the development of a youth foundation to raise funds and participate in grant making.
