B’nai Tzedek teens fall community service project: pick fresh produce from a local farm and donate the food to a local shelter.
Sunday, October 17, 2010 12:00 - 4:30 pm for B’nai Tzedek members in grades 6 - 8.
What will you do?
Teens and chaperones will travel by bus to an area farm to harvest crops and learn about gleaning, poverty in our area, and conservation. We'll put the produce on the bus and bring it to a local shelter. Please bring a water bottle and make sure to eat lunch before you arrive. Kosher snacks will be provided.
Springfield: Noon pickup at the Jewish Community Center, drop-off at 4:00 pm
Upper Valley: 12:30 pickup at Whole Foods in Hadley, drop-off at 4:30 pm
