In honor of individuals whose on-going volunteer efforts have had a significant impact on Jewish life in Western Massachusetts, the Outstanding Volunteer Leadership award recipient will be selected from among nominees who are:
- A volunteer leader at a Jewish education institute AND
- A volunteer leader at a Jewish community organization.
Who Is Eligible?
Any individual who:
- Has been involved in this volunteer capacity for a minimum of two years in Hampshire, Hampden, Franklin and/or Berkshire County. Nominations from Hebrew High School of New England are also welcome
- Has not been honored publicly in a Jewish community forum
What Are the Benefits?
Each winner recieves:
- A $500 tzedakah award to be donated to a Jewish organization of the winner's choice.
- A $500 cash award.
- Public recognition at a Jewish community event, as well as in the Jewish Ledger and via other local Jewish organizations.
